The launch event for the future-oriented “LabCampus” project took place at Munich Airport on 8 March. Over the next few years a cross-sector ideas centre will be created here where companies of all sizes as well as specialist professionals, creative minds, start-ups and investors can network.

The total area of the site is 500,000 m² and it sees itself as a kind of “city of the future” and a unique meeting place for high-tech industries and key sectors, such as aviation and aerospace, energy supply, digitalization and mobility.

In addition to the presentation of the project, there was also a round of talks where our CEO Michael O. Schmutzer – together with representatives from research and industry – stood on the podium to outline the opportunities the new innovation hub offers.

Current project partners include: Siemens, Fraunhofer Institut, UnternehmerTUM, Friedrich Alexander Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg and us at Design Offices. As New Work experts, we’ll create new work environments on the 18,000 m2 site for the cleverest and most creative minds.
